I came across a painter with dollars at her feet
She’d paint a pond with fishes and she’d mix her paint in dishes
And one said hello there Mrs. and traded paint for kisses
As she heard the clicking of the walkers
Their phones rang from their pockets
They’d drop change in a bucket

I asked her to paint me something and I do like every color
I can’t tell one from another but the cans of paint above her
Told her use us all together and she’d mix them into one
I’ve never seen; not yellow, not aquamarine
It’s begging for description*
She must be a magician
